This 1976 Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche burgundy red wool "Cossack" coat is an iconic piece of YSL history. This coat was inspired by the Haute Couture Ballet Russes Collection, and we think it is spectacular! Saint Laurent was inspired by the Czar era Russian clothing as portrayed in the Russian Ballet. This coat was featured on the runway and in several Ad campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent.

The luxe fabric is wool with YSL's signature black braided knit trim throughout. The coat has a mandarin style collar with oval buttons down to the waist seam. There are concealed pockets along one of the seams of the skirt and beautiful black satin lining throughout.
